Penny Black

Penny Black Grill & Tap was located on 4th Street in Downtown Rochester MI in the same building that served as the post office from 1938-1989. The post office was built in 1937, and “Penny Black” was the first adhesive postage stamp circa 1840, hence how Penny Black restaurant got its name. Established in 2010, Penny Black provided good eats and entertainment for a dozen years.
