At 2800 S. Rochester Road, Avon Recreation Center was the kind of all-in-one neighborhood hangout that barely exists anymore: bowling lanes, billiards, a bar and grill under one roof. Whether you came to roll a few frames, shoot pool, grab something to eat or just meet up with friends, Avon Rec was part of the social fabric of Rochester Hills. This throwback design celebrates a local spot where the activity mattered—but the people you were with mattered even more.
