The Story Behind the Design
Rochester’s golf history stretches back more than a century. The course associated with Rochester Golf Club and Brooklands opened in 1917, with noted professionals Walter Hagen and Jock Hutchison appearing in special events during its early years. By 1925, the club had grown to roughly 300 members and had become a social destination well beyond Rochester. This design reaches back to that early local golf era—when a round at Rochester Golf Club connected the growing community with one of the game’s great early chapters in Michigan.
