The Story Behind the Design
The Van Hoosen Dairy Farm, l ocated in Stoney Creek Village, played an integral role in the early development of the city of Rochester and the surrounding area.
This 16-acre museum was home to the Taylor and Van Hoosen families dating back to 1823. It features structures original to the property from 1840 to the early 20th century - including the remnants of the world famous Dairy Farm. The dairy produced, among other essentials and treats, homemade ice cream for all of the dessert enthusiasts in the area.
