Jake's Roadhouse

For over two decades, Jake’s Roadhouse was a staple of the Chauncey Hill experience in West Lafayette, Indiana. 

Students, alumni, and anyone who happened to be walking by when they were hungry after 11pm would head to Jake’s for the friendly atmosphere, the unique décor (which included a car suspended from the ceiling), the fishbowls, and – arguably most importantly – for the free hot dogs and popcorn.   

Who among us didn’t have their night saved, at some point, by the generous hot dog distribution plan at Jake’s Roadhouse?

From the 1990’s until its unfortunate closure in 2018, students had no better ally on the streets of West Lafayette than Jake’s Roadhouse.
